ARLINGTON, TX – April 2, 2026 – The UFL announced its Week One Players of the Week on Wednesday. Austin Reed earned Offensive Player of the Week honors, Jordan Mosley took home Defensive Player of the Week, and Matt McCrane claimed Special Teams Player of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week presented by Progressive: Austin Reed, QB, Dallas Renegades
In his UFL debut, Reed left no doubt in head coach Rick Neuheisel’s decision to give him the start under center.

He broke the UFL single-game regular season passing record with an astonishing 376 yards. Reed tossed three touchdowns, posted a 65% completion rate, and finished with a 120 quarterback rating. He connected with ten different targets and led a dominant 33-17 victory over Houston.

Reed has proven he is the guy in Dallas and will look to carry that success into Week Two against St. Louis on Tuesday night.

NOBULL Defensive Player of the Week: Jordan Mosley, SS, St. Louis Battlehawks
Mosley helped anchor the best defensive performance of Week One. St. Louis handed the defending champions a loss, allowing just ten points.

Mosley recorded eight total tackles, six of which were solo, along with a critical interception off Jordan Ta’amu. He led the game in tackles, and St. Louis’ defense pitched a shutout over the final three quarters.

Mosley and the Battlehawks now face a massive test against the top offense in the UFL on Tuesday night in Dallas.

Special Teams Player of the Week presented by Dynasty Financial Partners: Matt McCrane, K, DC Defenders

DC’s fourth-year kicker took home the first Special Teams Player of the Week honors of the season. McCrane stole the spotlight in Week One, drilling the first four-point field goal in UFL history.

On DC’s opening drive, head coach Shannon Harris gave his kicker a shot from 60 yards out inside The Dome at America’s Center. McCrane rewarded that trust, delivering the historic four-point mark.

Matt McCrane’s name will now live in football history as the first kicker to hit the elusive four-point field goal. He returns to action Friday night on the road against Columbus.
