Prior to the Stallions
- A standout linebacker from Ole Miss, made his mark in college football by leading the team in tackles from 2015 to 2017, earning recognition as the first player to do so since Abdul Jackson in the early '90s.
- After going undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, Gates embarked on a resilient professional journey, showcasing his talents across multiple leagues and teams, including stints with the Cleveland Browns, Memphis Express, Washington Redskins, Houston Roughnecks and Minnesota Vikings.
