UFL Alumni Watch: NFL Week 3

ARLINGTON, TX (September 24, 2026) – UFL alumni are poised for more big plays as Week 3 of the NFL regular season gets underway tonight. Week 2 was full of former UFL standouts making plays including a game-changing turnover at the goal line by Vikings DL Jalen Redmond, another solid effort by Cowboys KaVonte Turpin the NFL’s kickoff return leader, a 60-yard field goal by Cowboys K Brandon Aubrey, and several other standout performances.

Minnesota Vikings DL Jalen Redmond (Dallas Renegades) showed up throughout a defensive battle against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Most notably Redmond punched the ball out at the 1-yard line in the third quarter forcing a turnover helping the Vikings to a 9-3 victory over the Bears. Redmond also recorded four tackles in the game.

Dallas Cowboys WR KaVonte Turpin (New Jersey Generals) provided 122 kickoff return yards in Week 2, doubling his season total and now leads the NFL with 244 kickoff return yards through two weeks.

The UFL’s kicking alumni also continued their strong starts to the NFL season. Brandon Aubrey (Birmingham Stallions) connected on all three of his field-goal attempts for the Dallas Cowboys, including a 60-yarder. Andre Szmyt (St. Louis Battlehawks) made a 50-yard field goal for the Cleveland Browns and is now 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts this season.

To cap a great week for UFL alumni, Atlanta Falcons DT LaCale London (St. Louis Battlehawks) recorded four tackles in Atlanta’s Week 2 matchup.

• Earned First-Team All-SEC honors in 2022 after recording 928 receiving yards and six touchdowns at South Carolina.

• Back-to-back All-UFL performer in 2024-25, Saylors is the St. Louis Battlehawks all-time leader in rushing with 996 yards and in touchdowns with 13.
• Joined the Lions in 2025, ranking ninth in the NFL with 897 kick return yards. 
• His 27.2-yard average was third among players with at least 30 returns.
• Originally signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL Draft and has also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns.
• 2026 NFL Regular Season - Has returned four kickoffs this season, totaling 83 yards including a long of 30 yards. Also has three special teams tackles.
