ARLINGTON, TX (July 31, 2026) – United Football League defensive back Quinton Newsome has signed with the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, the league announced today.
Newsome emerged as one of the Houston Gamblers top defensive playmakers during the 2026 UFL season, finishing third on the team with 43 total tackles while starting in all 10 regular-season games. He recorded 34 solo tackles, nine assisted stops, 0.5 sacks, and 2.0 tackles for loss, while making an impact in the secondary with four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
His strong UFL campaign builds on previous NFL experience after signing with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2024. Newsome spent his rookie season on Denver's practice squad, developing within the organization's defensive system, and remained with the Broncos through the 2025 preseason before being waived.
