WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 14, 2026 – The DC Defenders, the 2025 United Football League defending champions, today unveiled their 2026 game-day uniforms, signaling a new era of confidence, connection, and power on the field. Fans will see bold red home uniforms and crisp white road uniforms as the team prepares to defend the District and bring the energy of The District to every game.
“Every thread, every stripe, and every detail of these uniforms was designed to embody what it means to play for DC,” said Head Coach Shannon Harris. “Our players wear more than a uniform—they wear the grit, courage, and pride of the city. Shields up. Defend the District.”
The home uniforms feature a commanding red palette, symbolizing strength and boldness, while the road uniforms shine in crisp white, reflecting clarity, authenticity, and resilience. The striping is representative of the striping on the Washington, D.C., flag and reinforces the connection with the city and its beloved banner, while the stars—a common motif throughout the city—are incorporated throughout the design.
As a spring football legacy team with roots dating back to the league’s launch in 2024, it was important for the Defenders not to alter the previous designs but to lean into and celebrate the past uniforms and their connections to their history. Both uniforms are built with performance-driven materials to enhance agility, comfort, and confidence on the field.
“As defending champions, we’re not just playing for wins—we’re playing for the city,” said Harris. “From the Potomac to the stands, this uniform captures the passion and energy of our fans, connects our community, and inspires our players to rise when called. This is DC—where the bold meet the brave.”
