LOUISVILLE, KY (September 16, 2026) – Fresh off a United Bowl win in their inaugural season, the Louisville Kings have been rewarded with the United Football League's 2027 season opener on FOX UFL Friday, taking place at Lynn Family Stadium on March 26 at 8 p.m. ET. The announcement was made by the league in front of thousands of fans attending Louisville’s United Bowl Championship Celebration at Lynn Family Stadium this evening.
As Head Coach Chris Redman and his squad open their title defense, the Kingdom is being called back to claim their seats for the 2027 season with tickets going on sale Thursday, Sept. 17 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Fans can secure their place in the Kingdom here or sign up for more information.
After opening their maiden 2026 campaign with three straight losses, the Kings stormed back, winning six of their final seven contests, capped by a four-game winning streak to close the regular season with a 6-4 record. They defeated the St. Louis Battlehawks on the road in the playoffs, and subsequently rallied against the DC Defenders in the United Bowl championship in front of a raucous crowd at Audi Field earning a 27-20 victory. The team garnered several top player awards, including DE Cam Gill (Defensive Player of the Year), K Tanner Brown (Special Teams Player of the Year), and RB Ian Wheeler (United Bowl MVP). The Kings ultimately saw 18 players from their 2026 roster earn NFL Training Camp opportunities with three of those players, including DB Deantre Prince (Chicago Bears), WR Lucky Jackson (Detroit Lions), and CB Bryce Hall (Houston Texans) sticking on NFL practice squads.
